Terms of Service

"Purpo" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service" or "the Platform") is a service established and provided by Funiverse Technology Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company" or "we"). To protect your rights as a user, all members using this Service (hereinafter referred to as "Members" or "you") should carefully read these Terms of Service. Once a member completes registration or begins using the Service, it is deemed that the member has accepted all contents of these Terms of Service, including but not limited to the Service's Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you violate these Terms of Service, we may suspend or terminate your use of the Service at any time to maintain the Platform's positive environment and protect members' rights.

1. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms
  1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. If we revise these Terms of Service, we will notify you of the revised content through the "Purpo" mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "APP") or our website https://www.purpo.app/ (hereinafter referred to as "website").

  2. The revised terms shall take effect from the time of publication unless otherwise stated. From the effective date, if members continue to use the Service, it shall be deemed that members have read, understood, and agreed to all contents of the revised terms. If members do not agree with the modified content, members should immediately cease using the Service, and we may terminate the provision of the Service without any liability for compensation or reimbursement to members.

2. Member Registration
  1. You must provide accurate information according to the Service's registration process and may not register as a member under a third party's name. Each member may only register one account; duplicate registrations are not permitted.

  2. You  agree to receive automated 2FA authentication at the phone number provided. Message and Data Rates May Apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Please check our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

  3. If your registration information needs to be updated, please update it to receive optimal service.

  4. If you provide any incorrect or false information, fail to update information in a timely manner, register duplicate accounts, fail to provide necessary information required by the Service, infringe upon others' name rights, personality rights or intellectual property rights, or violate other legal regulations, we may, without prior notice, suspend or terminate your account on the Platform and refuse your use of all or part of the Service.

  5. Membership registration for the Service is only available to natural persons who are at least 18 years of age and have the capacity and legal right to sign, exercise, and perform these Terms of Service.

3. Personal Data Protection Statement

When members register or use the Service, the Company will request you to provide relevant personal data or other information. All personal data or other information collected by the Company will be used only for specific purposes of providing services in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and related laws and regulations, and will not be arbitrarily disclosed to any third party. For more detailed information, please refer to the Service's Privacy Policy.

4. Member Account, Password, and Security
  1. Any account and password obtained by a member for using the Service is for the member's personal use only. The account cannot be transferred, gifted, or inherited. When a member decides to stop using the account, they should apply to the Company for account cancellation. Members must properly maintain and keep their account confidential, and may not disclose or provide it to any third party for login or use, whether for compensation or not. Any transaction or activity made by entering that account and password shall be deemed as the action of the member who registered that account, and all actions taken through that account and password shall be the responsibility of the registered member.

  2. If members discover or suspect that their account or password has been impersonated or improperly used by a third party, members should immediately notify us so that the Company can take appropriate responsive measures in a timely manner. However, these responsive measures shall not be interpreted as the Company explicitly or implicitly assuming any form of compensation or reimbursement obligation to members. If any damage is caused by the member's negligence in safeguarding or failure to comply with the provisions of this article regarding the use of account passwords, resulting in improper use of your account or password by others, the Company shall not bear any legal responsibility.

  3. To protect member rights, if you log in to use the Service on equipment not owned by you, you must log out of your account. If members share a computer or any device with others, they must close the browser or the Service to prevent others from reading your personal information.

  4. Regardless of the reason for the Company's cancellation of member accounts or discontinuation of service, the Company shall not have any obligation to back up any related information in your account.

5. Member's Legal Obligations and Commitments
  1. Members must commit to never using the Service for any illegal purpose or in any illegal manner, and commit to complying with the laws and regulations of the Republic of China and international internet usage conventions. If members are from outside the Republic of China, they also agree to comply with the laws and regulations of their respective countries or regions.

  2. Members agree and warrant that they will not use the Service to engage in activities that infringe upon the rights of others or violate the law, including but not limited to:

    • Uploading, posting, publishing, or transmitting any defamatory, insulting, threatening, offensive, indecent, obscene, false, content that violates public order or good morals, or other illegal text, images, or files of any form on the Service;

    • Infringing upon others' reputation, privacy rights, trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights, patents, other intellectual property rights, and other rights;

    • Facilitating or inducing others to engage in sexual transactions;

    • Violating confidentiality obligations under law or contract;

    • Impersonating others to use the Service;

    • Uploading, posting, transmitting, or distributing any data containing computer viruses or any program codes that cause interruption, destruction, or limitation of functions to computer software or hardware;

    • Engaging in illegal trading activities or posting false or misleading information that induces criminal behavior;

    • Providing gambling information or inducing others to participate in gambling in any way;

    • Forging message sources or interfering with transmission source identification in any way;

    • Interfering with or disrupting the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service, or not complying with requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations related to networks connected to the Service;

    • Engaging in any activities that may contain computer viruses or may harm the Service's systems or data;

    • Tracking others or otherwise interfering with others or collecting or storing personal information about others for such purposes;

    • Other behaviors that the Company has reasonable grounds to consider inappropriate.

  3. Members should ensure their personal safety. You assume all risks when meeting other members in person for dating purposes, and the Company does not assume any responsibility for safety aspects.

  4. The Service platform only provides a dating matching service platform and does not pre-screen or guarantee any information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, videos, messages, or other materials uploaded, posted, emailed, or otherwise transmitted by members through the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Member Content"), whether transmitted publicly or privately. We remind you to carefully judge the accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of Member Content yourself. The platform is not responsible for any Member Content posted by members, including but not limited to errors or omissions in Member Content, as well as any resulting loss or damage.

  5. When posting Member Content on the platform, members should avoid easily disclosing Member Content related to financial or personal sensitive information to prevent fraud or illegal use by malicious individuals.

6. Service Content
  1. The platform provides dating services between members and charges fees based on usage functions. The Service includes two modes: "Angel" and "Devil":

    • Mode Selection and Mode Content: Members enjoy different service content in different modes based on their gender selected at registration. After selecting "Angel" or "Devil" mode in the platform's "Swipe Card List," the platform will display potential matches as "cards." You can swipe left or right to choose whether to send a like to the member shown on the card. After sending a like, you will appear in that member's "Likes Me Page" list for matching. When members mutually like each other, it constitutes a successful match, immediately enabling the "Chat Room" function. On the platform interface, you can view your "Likes Me," "Visitors List," "Chat List," and your "Personal Page." You can also activate "BOOST" to increase your card pool exposure in the selected mode.

    • The platform's "Angel" and "Devil" modes are independent of each other, and service content between different modes is limited to that mode (including but not limited to "Members," "Swipe Card List," "Likes Me/Visitors List," "Chat List," "Chat Room Content," and "Personal Page"). Any member operations under each mode only apply to that mode (including but not limited to "Sending Likes," "Chat," "Unmatch," or "Block").

    • You understand and agree that platform members may decide whether to send likes at their discretion, and the Company does not interfere with or direct members' decisions. If you receive an unsuccessful match result, it is unrelated to the Company, and you have no right to request the Company to force or interfere with members sending likes or handle any matching.

  2. Advanced Member (PLUS Member) Benefits Members can upgrade their accounts to advanced members (hereinafter referred to as "PLUS members") through paid subscriptions. PLUS members enjoy special privileges granted by the Service to PLUS members, including but not limited to clear profile photos shown in "Likes Me List" and "Visitors List," PLUS members receiving priority display in the swipe card sequence, preview chat content, etc. The Company may adjust the functions that PLUS members can enjoy based on different situations. The detailed rules regarding all privileges that PLUS members can obtain shall be subject to the actual description shown on the platform interface. The Service provides three advanced membership upgrade plans. You can choose to subscribe to "Angel+," "Devil+," or "Master" plans to enjoy different functional services.

  3. Gems Gems are the social currency on the Service. Members can obtain them through system rewards, purchases from the Gem Store (please refer to Section 7(1)B), or gifting from other members, and can use them to increase member exposure in the card pool, number of matches, or unlock chat room conversations and other services.

  4. BOOST You can use gems to increase your exposure time in the selected mode's card pool to enhance your swipe card exposure rate, thereby obtaining better matching experiences. Please note that BOOST purchased in "Angel" mode is limited to Angel mode, and BOOST for "Devil" mode is limited to Devil mode use.

  5. Chat You can view your chat room list through the platform and open personal chats with other members to send text, images, and hyperlinks. All chat records should be preserved by members themselves. If chat content is lost due to your personal actions, Service maintenance, or other technical failures, your chat records cannot be recovered, and the Service does not provide backup or retention of your chat records.

  6. Unmatching and Blocking You can unmatch successfully matched members or block other members:

  • Unmatch: Unmatching will delete the chat room with that member and remove that member from your "Likes Me List" and "Visitors List." However, if they meet filtering criteria, that member may still appear in your swipe card pool again. The Company will not retain your chat records for deleted chat rooms; please back them up yourself.

  • Block: You can block other members, and once blocked, it cannot be undone. If the number of members blocked reaches the Service's set limit, this function can no longer be used.

  1. Notifications Once you register as a member of the Service, you will receive occasional notifications about chats, matches, announcements, received gems, or other messages. If you do not wish to receive notifications, you may turn off notification settings on the platform interface.

  2. Personal Information

  • You agree that the Service may use your personal information as a basis for dating matches. Personal information includes but is not limited to your height, zodiac sign and blood type, education, work, personality traits, drinking habits, smoking habits, and exercise habits. To facilitate interaction between members, your other personal information, including but not limited to your nickname, age, profile photo, self-introduction, Prompt answers, whispers, interest tags, and general information, will also be public on the platform.

  • You agree and understand that personal information related to your use of the Service submitted by you or recorded through your device, including but not limited to interactions with other members, will be used by the platform for user analysis. However, such analysis and data are only for the Company to improve and enhance the services provided to you and will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties.

  • When you send a like, the Service has the right to disclose your provided personal information to other members. PLUS members can set private items not to be disclosed, including hiding age, hiding footprints, and whether to enable exploration.

7. Payment and Refund Policy
  1. You understand and agree that you can experience more advanced services and functions through payment (hereinafter referred to as "Paid Members"). You can choose the following privileges or plans through payment:

  • Purchase PLUS Member Status Plans You can subscribe to the Service's paid content and services to upgrade from a regular member to a PLUS member and enjoy advanced functions. For advanced function content and fees, please refer to the actual description on the platform.

  • Purchase Gems You can purchase gems from the Service's "Gem Store." You clearly understand and agree that using certain functions in the Service (such as using BOOST) may consume your purchased gems. Your purchased gems will not be refunded unless otherwise provided by law. Gifted gems cannot be exchanged for cash. You agree that we will only make necessary corrections and adjustments if your account's gem balance is incorrect due to Service maintenance or other technical failures. If the platform determines that you are abusing the refund mechanism, the Company may terminate your service, and if any damage is caused to the Company, you shall be liable for compensation to the Company. For other gem purchase plans, please refer to the actual description content on the Service interface.

  1. Paid Members understand and agree that the Service may change or modify paid service content, terms of use, payment and refund regulations, or other related regulations in the future based on business development or technical improvements, upgrades, etc. Before making such changes or modifications, the Service will announce the changes or modifications on the Service's website and APP, and they will take effect from the time of announcement.

  2. Paid Members can subscribe to paid items through Google Play or App Store (hereinafter referred to as "Subscription Systems") authorized by the Service, or through methods announced by the Service platform. After subscribing to paid items, management or continuation of subscriptions should be operated according to the Subscription System's instructions. Unless you cancel the subscription of paid items according to the Subscription System's instructions before the renewal date (for cancellation instructions, please refer to Section (5)), your subscription will automatically renew.

  3. If the platform cannot charge through your chosen payment method for any reason, the Service will be terminated. If you wish to continue using the Service, you should update your payment information and resubscribe to the plan you wish to activate.

  4. Cancellation and Refund Policy: Members who wish to terminate or cancel paid service subscriptions should cancel through the Subscription System. If you delete your account on the platform or delete the Service application from your personal device, you still need to cancel your Service subscription according to the Subscription System's instructions. The Service will calculate refunds based on the proportion of services or goods already provided. (For example: For purchases made through Apple ID, please cancel in the App Store application's "Settings" page or request assistance from Apple Support; for purchases made through Google Play, please cancel in the Google Play application's "Settings" page or request assistance on the Google Play website.)

  5. Unless otherwise provided by law or these Terms of Service, you agree that the Company and its affiliated enterprises shall not be liable to members for any damages, including damages arising from the use or inability to use paid services, or other direct or indirect damages. For the aforementioned damages, if caused by the Company's intentional act, Paid Members agree that for a single incident, the Company's maximum compensation amount shall be the total amount paid to the Company for paid services in the past year. The Company shall not be liable for any defects and damages caused to Paid Members by third parties' intentional or negligent acts.

8. Relationship Between the Company and Members
  1. The Company only provides a platform for member dating matching services. For rights and obligations arising between members, both parties should coordinate and resolve disputes on their own. The Company does not make any express or implied promises or guarantees.

  2. If you and other members have private transactions or agreements, they must not violate the laws of the Republic of China or public order and good morals. If such transactions or agreements involve violations of laws or public order and good morals, the Company may directly refuse to continue providing the Service. Members agree to bear compensation and reimbursement liability for all damages caused to the Company as a result.

  3. When using the Service, if members do not follow these Terms of Service or the Company's instructions, transaction page operation prompts, rules, the Company has the right to refuse to continue providing related services, and the Company shall not be liable for any damages.

  4. To ensure service quality, the Company may provide customer service telephone services and online chat functions to members. To ensure the traceability of transaction processes and content, the Company reserves the right to record the entire process of customer service and member service; the Company promises not to actively disclose recording content to third parties, but based on factors such as transaction disputes and technical reasons, the Company reserves the right to copy and review recording content during the service process.

9. Disclaimer
  1. The Company does not provide any express or implied warranties for the Service. The Company also does not guarantee that:

    • The Service will meet members' needs;

    • The Service will operate continuously without interference;

    • Data will be transmitted, processed, stored, and backed up instantly, securely, reliably, and without error;

    • Members' transmissions or transmitted data have been legally authorized, accessed, or have not been altered or recreated;

    • System, software, and data errors will be discovered and corrected immediately;

    • Any products, services, information, or other materials purchased or obtained by members through the Service will meet members' expectations.

  2. Member content, text descriptions, and images that members encounter while using the Service are designed and submitted by other third parties. Members should exercise their own judgment regarding the accuracy and reliability of information. The Company only accepts commission for posting and does not assume any warranty responsibility for the aforementioned third-party submitted content.

  3. If the Service has links to third-party website content, such third-party websites are not under the Company's jurisdiction, and the Company is not responsible for the linking, modification, or updating of such third-party websites. The Company provides links to these third-party websites solely for convenience and does not indicate that the Company endorses them or has any operational connection.

  4. Members agree that regarding all data used in the Service, the data stored in the Service's database shall be the standard, and in case of disputes or litigation, they agree to use such data as the criterion for determination.

10. System Maintenance and Service Interruption
  1. The Company has the right to stop or interrupt the provision of the Service, and members may not request compensation or reimbursement, if any of the following situations occur:

    • Necessary maintenance and construction of computer software and hardware and electronic communication equipment, or sudden failure of computer software and hardware and electronic communication equipment;

    • When performing relocation, replacement, upgrade, maintenance, or repair of equipment related to the Service;

    • When members violate any laws, these Terms, or related Service agreements;

    • Due to third-party actions, matters beyond the Company's control, or other causes not attributable to the Company that result in service suspension, interruption, or inability to operate normally.

  2. When the Service stops, interrupts, or experiences failures, it may cause inconvenience to members' use, data loss, errors, tampering, or other economic losses. Members should take protective measures when using the Service. The Company shall not be liable for any damages caused to members due to their use (or inability to use) of the Service.

11. Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
  1. All content on the Service platform, including but not limited to works, images, files, information, data, program architecture, APP or website screen layout, page design, information content, etc., are owned by the Company or other rights holders in accordance with law, including but not limited to trademark rights, patent rights, copyrights, trade secrets, and proprietary technology. No one may directly use, modify, reproduce, publicly broadcast, adapt, distribute, issue, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble. If you wish to quote or reprint the aforementioned platform content, you must obtain prior written consent from the Company or other rights holders in accordance with law. Respecting intellectual property rights is your obligation, and if violated, members shall be liable to the Company for damages (including but not limited to litigation costs and attorney fees).

  2. Regarding the content you provide to the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Submitted Content"), the Company does not claim to own intellectual property rights. However, when you post, upload, input, or provide Submitted Content, you grant the Company and its affiliated enterprises the right to use your Submitted Content free of charge, including but not limited to reproduction, distribution, public transmission, public broadcast, and public performance of your Submitted Content.

  3. The Company has no obligation to post or use Submitted Content. The Company assumes no responsibility for any Submitted Content you provide.

  4. When posting, uploading, inputting, providing, or submitting content, you warrant and represent that you own all rights to the Submitted Content, including but not limited to all rights necessary for you to provide, post, upload, input, or submit the Submitted Content. If this results in a third party claiming infringement of their rights, the Company may remove the Submitted Content, and if the Company suffers damages, you shall be liable for damages to the Company (including but not limited to litigation costs and attorney fees).

  5. The Service complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and has adopted the following policy regarding copyright infringement. If you believe that any member content or our content infringes your copyright, please submit your "Notice of Claimed Infringement" to the Company, and we will remove the allegedly infringing content after review. Copyright owners or their designated agents who make false statements regarding infringement shall be liable for losses caused by the removal or blocking of the alleged infringing works. Your notice must include:

    • Your or your designated agent's physical or electronic signature;

    • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered, please provide a list of such works;

    • Identification of the location of the allegedly infringing work on the platform;

    • Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address;

    • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;

    • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

  6. The Service has adopted the following policy regarding counter-notifications under the DMCA. If you have been notified of alleged copyright infringement, you may submit a counter-notification. In this counter-notification, you must provide the following information:

    • Your or your designated agent's physical or electronic signature;

    • Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled. If multiple items, please provide a list of such content;

    • The location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled from the platform;

    • Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address;

    • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;

    • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the court in your location and will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement or their agent.

12. Refusal or Termination of Use
  1. Members agree that the Company may, at its sole discretion, determine for any reason, including but not limited to non-use for a certain period, court or government agency orders, Service inability to continue or substantial changes in service content, unforeseeable technical or security factors or problems, your fraudulent or illegal acts, failure to pay fees as agreed, abuse of the Service's paid item refund mechanism, or other reasons the Company deems that members have clearly violated these Terms of Service provisions and spirit, to terminate or restrict members' use of accounts (or any part thereof) or Service use, and remove and delete any Member Content within the Service.

  2. Members agree that the Company may terminate or restrict members' use of the Service or any part thereof due to internal Service modification considerations. Members acknowledge and agree that upon such termination or restriction, the Company may immediately close, delete, or limit access to members' accounts and all related data and files, and stop the use of all or part of the Service. Furthermore, members agree that when the Service use is terminated or restricted, the Company shall not be liable to members or any third party.

  3. Members who violate laws, infringe upon third-party rights, or violate member agreements shall be liable for damages to the Company and third parties caused thereby (including but not limited to litigation costs and attorney fees).

13. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Other Provisions
  1. If any part of these Terms of Service (including but not limited to the above disclaimers and limited liability) is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under relevant laws, the invalid or unenforceable part shall be deemed to be replaced by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the remainder of these Terms of Service shall remain in effect.

  2. These Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and their related usage regulations, methods, handling principles, policies, and related service descriptions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China.

  3. For disputes arising between members and the Company due to the Service, these Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or their related usage regulations, methods, handling principles, policies, and related service descriptions, if litigation ensues, the Taiwan Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance.

  4. The headings of each section in these Terms of Service are for reference only and do not affect the interpretation, explanation, and understanding of the relevant provisions.
